Suviranta artist home

Suviranta is the former studio residence of painter Eero Järnefelt. Eero Järnefelt was one member of the Tuusulanjärvi artists’ community. His sister Aino Sibelius née Järnefelt was wife of the composer Jean Sibelius. Suviranta is good destination together with Ainola. In Ainola, lived Eero Järnefelt’s sister Aino Sibelius.

Closed during wintertime.

Suviranta is open from May to September 2021 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays between 11 am–3 pm. Pre-booking required at www.vello.fi/jarvenpaanmuseopalvelut. Please note that you cannot visit Suviranta or its yard on your own – only on guided tours booked in advance!

Nearest train station: Ainola.
Please note that Ainola station to be closed between 19 June and 9 December 2023. Replacement buses will run between Ainola and Järvenpää stations so travel to Järvenpää station and take a replacement bus to Ainola Station (and walk from there to Suviranta).
