Wonderful outdoors!

Lake Tuusula has been chosen as the county lake of Uusimaa. The recreational use of the lake is abundant and there are many interesting natural sites on its shores and in the surrounding areas. The most famous of these is probably the Sarvikallio area with its magnificent views on the western shore of the lake. Close to the attractions of the coastal road is the small Fjällbo Park area, where it is nice to look at the national landscapes.

The Lake Tuusula Natura area consists of three separate areas. They consist of three water and wetland areas, the wetlands at the ends of Järvenpää and Hyrylä, and the Rantamo-Seittel wetland on the west side of the lake, which is the largest of its kind in Finland. The area has been identified as a nationally valuable bird water, and monitoring data has been on record since 1940.

Järvenpää’s Lemmenlaakso is a nature reserve along the Keravanjoki river. In addition, Sipookorpi National Park is only about a 20-minute drive away.
