Accessibility of the sites
For this section we have gathered a general answers about the accessibility of our museum sites in the area. More detailed information can be obtained directly from the museums.
Many of the museums sites are old and some have been residential buildings, which is why not all have taken into account accessibility as well as turning them completely accessible is unfortunately not possible.

Parking - Disabled parking in the Ainola parking lot. Visiting Ainola is unobstructed.
Tickets - The ticket office is located on the ground, wheelchair accessible.
Guided tours - Guided tours also apply to special groups.
Personal assistants - free admission.
Guide dog - Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.
Café - The café is located next to the ticket office. The entrance is unobstructed.
Museum shop - The museum shop is located at the ticket office. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
Toilet - There is a toilet for the disabled and a childcare room in connection with the public toilet.

Coat rack - The lockable coat rack is located in the hallway.

Toilet - There is a toilet for the disabled downstairs.
Entrance - There is a ramp for the disabled in the Ahola building. There are low thresholds in the showrooms.

Tickets - Inside and there is a staircase for ticket sales. A ramp can be brought to the front door if agreed separately.
Interior - On the ground floor of the building you can move around with a small wheelchair or rollator. Narrow stairs to get upstairs.

The entrance, ticket sales and café - unobstructed access is at the back of the building.
Museum shop - in connection with ticket sales.
Access - the museum area is unobstructed. The museum’s exhibitions are wheelchair accessible.

Parking and ticket sales - The Halosenniemi parking is about 100 meters from the museum.
Access - A steep staircase with a partial handrail leads to the atelier building. The stairs and doorways leading to the second floor of the building are narrow. For a wheelchair, a ramp can be installed on the kitchen staircase, which should be agreed to in advance. The ascent is steep and requires an assistant. In the downstairs atelier you can move around in a small wheelchair. In winter when there is snow, Halosenniemi is not wheelchair accessible.

Parking - The distance from the disabled parking space to the entrance is about 50 m.
Tickets - Ticket sales in the exhibition space. Access from the foyer to the exhibition space through a glass door.

Coat rack - The coat rack is located in the hallway.

Toilet - The toilet for the disabled is located at the back of the exhibition space.
Entrance - Unobstructed entrance from the main door of the library. The elevator brings the art museum into the foyer.

Suviranta is not suitable for the disabled, it is not possible to move around indoors with a wheelchair or rollator.
