Opening hours:During the summer of 2024, Villa Kokkonen welcomes group visits by prior reservation on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Tours are available at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
Entrance fee: Entrance fee: €15 per person (valid Museokortti and Kaikukortti cards are accepted). Guided tour fee: €200 per group

Villa Kokkonen

Alvar Aalto designed  a unique residence, Villa Kokkonen, for his good friend and composer Joonas Kokkonen. Villa Kokkonen is located in Vanhankylänniemi area in Järvenpää, near Lake Tuusula.

Villa Kokkonen is one of the few private homes designed by Finland’s most famous architect, Alvar Aalto. The centre of the home is a large study which was designed around the grand piano which remains there today. The villa’s collection of artefacts and library include over 3000 books, audio records, art objects and original furniture.
