Restaurant Kerho

Restaurant Kerho is a unique restaurant, bistro and meeting facility set in old brick-built Army Officers’ Club House in Hyrylä, Tuusula.

In the heart of Restaurant Kerho, in addition to the atmospheric environment, there is, of course, the food itself. The restaurant favours raw materials from nearby farms and local areas. There is a rustic country shop downstairs, which sells branded food products. There is also a café next to the shop. A tasty lunch is served on weekdays. Check out the weekly changing lunch menu.

History - a unique environment

Restaurant Kerho’s building has many stories to tell. Some of them will remain secrets forever, but they create Kerho’s unique atmosphere.

The history of Restaurant Kerho’s building dates back to 1907. The building was originally the home of family-owned Russian officers. Finnish officer families then inhabited the building until the 1970s. As the Järvenpää road swept through Tuusula, the building was transferred to the use of the Hyrylä garrison officers’ club in the early 1970s. The Hyrylä garrison was closed down in 2005, when the property was transferred to private ownership and, after numerous stages, was transformed into its current splendor.
