Härmän Rati offers restaurant, event, and accommodation services in Vanhankylä, Järvenpää, in a former elementary school relocated from Ala-Härmä.

All of our food is prepared entirely by hand, from start to finish, using fresh ingredients. The flavors are close to what they were in the days of our mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. Many items in our salad buffet are developed according to traditional Martta principles.

The share of organic products in our offering varies by season between 30% and 60%. We are multiple-time winners of the Finnish Organic Championship (Luomu SM). Our aim is to set an example for others: through our choice of ingredients, we want to contribute to preserving clean nature, improving the living conditions of production animals, and influencing what kind of planet we leave behind — at least a little bit cleaner, thanks to one restaurant.

Lunch is served from Tuesday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Lunch includes a generous salad buffet, soup, organic bread baked at Rati, a hot main course served either as a buffet or plated, and coffee.

In the evenings and on weekends, the restaurant operates by reservation only.

The over 100-year-old log walls and traditionally inspired interior create a beautiful setting for a wide range of celebrations. The premises are fully accessible. The main hall can accommodate approximately 80 guests for buffet-style dinners and about 30 guests for seated dinners with table service. All events are planned and carried out flexibly, according to the customer’s wishes.
